Re: [Trisquel-users] Abrowser update issues
Just updated to 65.0.1 (64-bit) and hanging on downloads seems to be fixed. However, the CAPTCHA issue is still prevalent. I can't log into sites like Bandcamp at all because of this.

I guess some users might want to follow the regular Firefox release schedule instead of ESR. signature.asc Description: PGP signature
Re: [Trisquel-users] Abrowser update issues
I guess it only works because the built-in Icecat package is 8 major versions behind the latest stable (52.3.0 instead of 60.3.0), which doesn't seem to be a good long-term solution :/ I wonder if there's a reason for Abrowser to exist. I don't see any security or other advantages in Abrowser any more. (There was a convenient "Spoof referers" option on the preferences panel before, but it's gone now and remains only on the about:config page.) Wouldn't it be better to maintain only GNU IceCat?
Re: [Trisquel-users] Abrowser update issues
I have it too in 65.0.1 (64-bit). With the latest update, the Web Developer Tools > Console is empty too (no output log, no input possibility, just blank white space).
Re: [Trisquel-users] Use battery 1 before battery 0?
Battery charging has to be defined in the BIOS since you want be able to discharge the battery when you access the BIOS settings on battery power alone. You can override the hardware settings directly from GNU/Linux using tp_smapi according to the wiki page I provided a link to.
[Trisquel-users] CPU coil whine on T400s
Like many others (perhaps everybody?) my T400s produces this annoying noise which I learned from other users is coil whine from the CPU. It appears that some bios/windows users have successfully solved the problem, but the examples I have found are with other machines than the T400s. The issues has been touched here before, but I still miss a solution: https://trisquel.info/en/forum/whats-deal-corebootlibreboot-x220230-looking-more-powerful-freedom-laptop
Re: [Trisquel-users] Use battery 1 before battery 0?
Thanks. According to the thinkwiki page my computer should/would do exactly what I wish. But that doesn't seem to be the case. I do not understand the bug report well enough go tell if it os the same or a related issue. If I understand the threads correctly, the issue may have to do with settings in the bios. Do you think the issue should be resolved in Libreboot, in the Linux kernel or in the Trisquel OS?
