I use QEMU and, at least the one that can be installed on Trisquel using Guix package manager, it supports reading a configuration file which behaves like setting one virtual machine for each of these files. I've done this with manual partitioning: Partition for /boot unencrypted (enough with 512MiB) Partition for / encrypted This is not «full disk encryption» but it's the widest one in an easy way for GUI users.
