[Trisquel-users] Getting Totem Working
I'm trying to use the default video player (Totem) in Trisquel 8 and when I run it via Terminal, by typing "totem" I see the following: MESA-LOADER: failed to retrieve device information MESA-LOADER: failed to retrieve device information libva info: VA-API version 0.39.0 libva info: va_getDriverName() returns 0 libva info: Trying to open /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/dri/i965_drv_video.so libva info: Found init function __vaDriverInit_0_39 intel_do_flush_locked failed: Invalid argument libva info: va_openDriver() returns 0 Any idea how I can solve this error and get Totem working?
Re: [Trisquel-users] An Open Source License That Requires Users to Do No Harm
Of course good or evil is judged by the interests of vested interests. Although not as explicit as several decades ago. There will come a time when this problem must be solved decisively. Isn't it better to have some consensus on strategy now? After all, only common sense is the standard for judgment, and current law is generally constructed well, that can be generally convinced by common sense. The base is already fostered. Thanks very much the big democratic country. The rest is that, for example, when the United States accuses China of the currency manipulation, how many people can guess the possibility, or can understand methods of currency manipulation of the United States. It must be majority. It seems impossible. But there is the internet. Without people's understanding, freedom is not achieved.
Re: [Trisquel-users] Error while trying to update trisquel 7 to trisquel 8 : Could not calculate the upgrade
It's very useful to have home partition with Debian based distros because the upgrade process it's a nightmare, so if you have home partition you don't need to upgrade your system, you can make a clean install preserving home partition and you will not lose any of your stuff in home partition.
