Hey everyone, can anybody inform me on what I shall do when my motherboard is not listed in the coreboot list ? I am willing to develop a solution, will I have to do reverse engineering ?

It's an Alienware 04VWF2 and the bios version is A11.

I am not sure if they should dedicate resources to a particular distro. After all, distro is just a flavour of their work. It's us, the users, that have to donate and help spread the message.
[Trisquel-users] Default Music App
Obviously, Rhytmbox has been choosen as the default Music player as it is very good project-wise. However, I've found this app called Musique (Google it) and it looks extraordinary, it allows you to browse through your collection way more smooth than iTunes or anything proprietary. I believe we need a similar approach for Music-record lovers, to make the choice of converting to Free software easier. What do you guys think ?

I've followed the instructions on the website and run the commands, as instructed, in terminal. How do I run an app of which I have the files ? I don't know how to do that, I am 100% new to GNU / LINUX.

I've installed the package and logged out, Unity wouldn't appear in the list, there was only an option user defined and I tried choosing that but I got an error cannot find ubuntu, something like that.

Ok, I've tested them out... I think the trisquel theme should be default to the distro. Way better more slick than the one that is currently default.

Ok folks, I am new to linux and I am happy to learn (I want to and have to learn). I went to synaptics manager and made an installation of the bitcoin wallet but the app says is not up to date. Which is the correct way to install apps on Trisquel ? I am sorry for being a newbie but everyone has to start from somewhere. Thanks, I strongly appreciate your efforts in assisting me.

Done and went to Add / Remove Apps after that and got an error message which I tried to copy but something went wrong and I can't paste it... something about the index of the repository... the point is that I can't find the bitcoin client there now :/ What to do ? I want to learn to do it with the PPA way.

Done and it still won't appear on Add/Remove Applications :/ I don't know if this is importance but I tried to paste the two lines to the terminal and it would copy and execute automatically only the first.

Error initializing database environment /home/andreas/.bitcoin! To recover, BACKUP THAT DIRECTORY, then remove everything from it except for wallet.dat. --- I am trying to go to that location and I get an error... How do I locate the bitcoin files in order to delete them as it instructs ? Any other solution, like a terminal command ?

Hi everyone ! I've been introduced to the philosophy of the FSF a long time ago and it was stuck in a corner of my head and I've been thinking about it, a lot. Recently, I realized that I had to free my computing, but there are some things that I haven't clarified. 1. What's up with 3D Games ? (with entirely Free software) 2. What's up with mining Bitcoins ? (with entirely Free software) 3. What's up with advanced video editing - at Hollywood level ? (with entirely Free software) 4. I suspect that there are some limits as to what we can do with entirely Free software, I want to know why how we can contribute to changing it, I personally want to, for the good of humanity.
