Re: [Trisquel-users] Using Touchscreen on X200 Tablet
Okay, cool. So, I ran `xsetwacom --list devices` and `xinput` and they both produced results that looked correct. I then tried my stylus and it worked in a paint program. But I noticed that when the stylus gets close to the screen, it starts picking up input.. is there a way to change this to only pick up input when the stylus is actually touching the screen? Anyone know of some configuration settings like this?
[Trisquel-users] Using Touchscreen on X200 Tablet
Hi, I am using Trisquel Mini on an X200 Tablet. How can I use the touchscreen? Do I need to install or configure some software to do so? I believe the X200 Tablet uses a Wacom device. Thanks.

Re: [Trisquel-users] Abrowser won't save zoom level
Okay, that makes sense. Thanks for the tip, chaosmonk. Is this written anywhere in the documentation?
Re: [Trisquel-users] Abrowser won't save zoom level
One thing about Abrowser I want to change is to have it save the window size/maximization. I think I mentioned something about it, but there was no clear answer at the time. I may get into a little bit of development on Abrowser, once I get some source code or whatever.
[Trisquel-users] Abrowser General Information

I saw pages: https://trisquel.info/en/wiki/abrowser-help and https://trisquel.info/en/wiki/keyboard-shortcuts
[Trisquel-users] Auto-Maximize Abrowser Window
Does anyone know how to auto-maximize the Abrowser window, when the program is started? I have been looking around, but have not found a good answer for this. Thanks.
Re: [Trisquel-users] IRC Clients / Security
It turns out I had not registered with NickServ. Once I did "/msg NickServ register password em...@example.com", ran the command they emailed me, and updated "/network add -sasl_username username -sasl_password password -sasl_mechanism PLAIN freenode", then it worked.
Re: [Trisquel-users] IRC Clients / Security
Thanks for the info. I'm trying out Irssi. I was able to connect via SSL (verified by a /whois), but SASL was not working correctly. I get the error: "Cannot authenticate via SASL (The authentication timed out)". Any ideas?
[Trisquel-users] IRC Clients / Security
What IRC clients are popular amongst Trisquel users? I have tried Pidgin, HexChat, and WeeChat. Also, what is a good way to secure the connection? Using SSL? Is it good practice to securely connect to IRC?
Re: [Trisquel-users] Wi-Fi Adapter Requires Unplug and Replug to Allow Connection to Wi-Fi Networks
I found a workaround. I made a simple bash script called "toggle-networking.sh", with the contents: #! /bin/bash nmcli radio wifi off && nmcli radio wifi on This turns my wifi off and then back on. I can run it from my desktop.
Re: [Trisquel-users] Trisquel 8 codename "Flidas" Release Candidate is ready for testing
I found a couple smaller bugs. One is a typo, and another relates to the spell checker/dictionary in Abrowser. What's the most appropriate way of reporting these bugs?
Re: [Trisquel-users] Trisquel 8 codename "Flidas" Release Candidate is ready for testing
When trying to open the file "trisquel_8.0_amd64.iso.torrent" in Transmission, I get the error: "Tracker gave an error: "Requested download is not authorized for use with this tracker"."
Re: [Trisquel-users] Wi-Fi Adapter Requires Unplug and Replug to Allow Connection to Wi-Fi Networks
I've attached some screenshots to illustrate what is going on. I also discovered that I can Disable Networking and then re-Enable it, and it will reconnect my wireless that way.
[Trisquel-users] Wi-Fi Adapter Requires Unplug and Replug to Allow Connection to Wi-Fi Networks
I'm using Trisquel 8.0 with a Penguin Wireless G USB Adapter for GNU / Linux (TPE-G54USB2) from ThinkPenguin. It works great when it's first plugged in - I get the menu for "Wi-Fi Networks", allowing me to connect to my wireless network. But, after rebooting my computer, nothing appears under "Wi-Fi Networks". I have to unplug the adapter and plug it back in, for it to show me wireless networks. Does anyone know of a fix for this?
Re: [Trisquel-users] Japanese (anthy) under XFCE
Which version of Trisquel are you using? I’m using 8.0 and I like the MATE desktop, but how do you install a different desktop manager (Xfce, etc.)? Is it just a matter of installing or is there a lot of configuration?
[Trisquel-users] Super key to show/hide the activities overview?
I'm a new Trisquel user. I'd like to use the Super key to open or close the menu. In Keyboard Settings, I found an option to "Show the activities overview" with Super+S. Is there any way to both open and close the activities overview with the Super key?
