OK, Pale Moon is not Libre . . . but what about ABrowsers rendering problems
with the Intel cards?

Pale Moon also contains this clause:

Unofficial branding ("New Moon") as supplied in the source code may be used
for unendorsed binaries at all times. Thusly branded binaries with the New
Moon logo and product name are not subject to the endorsement and exception
rules as set out in previous points of this license and may be freely
distributed in altered or unaltered form, subject to the Mozilla Public
License as regards source code changes and availability. This permission
does, however, not include any rights or license to the Pale Moon name and
logo that may still be present in the resulting unofficially branded
binaries.

Palemoon is just as free as Firefox or Seamonkey - if you build these with
different icons then the binary file can be free software (e.g. Iceape and
IceCat/Abrowser are free), but if you use the compiled binaries provided they
are not.

Thanks again dude!

Best regards.

I also have problems with abrowser, rendering mainly...

foo@bar$ inxi -G
Graphics: Card: Intel Mobile 945GSE Express Integrated Graphics Controller
Display Server: X.Org 1.18.4 drivers: intel (unloaded: fbdev, vesa)
Resolution: 1024x600@60.00hz
GLX Renderer: Mesa DRI Intel 945GME x86/MMX/SSE2 GLX Version: 1.4
Mesa 18.0.5

It seems to confirm that the issue is focused on the Mesa/Intel driver
version.

However, Pale Moon works much better for me in this case but not without
issues at all.

Best regards.

I have the same problem but only on my MacBook 2,1.

I don't see this problem om my T500, X200 or T400s.

I don't know if it is relevant, but all my machines are librebooted.

Which computer are you on, Pandya?

Interesting. I haven't noticed the issue with IceCat, but I don't use it
much. Have you tried vanilla Firefox and/or Tor Browser?

Thanks for the reply. Ok. It's already reported. Btw, I've just updated the
abrowser - the issue is not fixed.
I've installed icecat to check whether the issue prevails. Though the
frequency/occurrence of the problem is lesser on IceCat than Abrowser, but
yes, facing the issue on both browsers.

So, is this problem inherent to firefox code or I should try other free/libre
browser?

When you encounter the blurry text, you can make it go away temporarily
by switching to another tab and then switching back. I don't know of a
permanent fix though.
