Neither the upgrade to 62 nor installing xserver-xorg-hwe-16.04 resolved
the issue for me.

If you have faced them since Abrowser's upgrade to version 62, then try
installing the package "xserver-xorg-hwe-16.04" (in Trisquel 8's repository).
 That is what ivanruvalcaba did:

However, he does not know whether Abrowser's upgade or Xorg's upgrade solved
the rendering glitches.

Well, I believe Pale Moon's trademark policy goes even farther than
Mozilla"s:
5. The binaries are not supplied or built as an integral part of a
commercial/non-commercial software package/larger works ("package"). (...)
6. The binaries are not supplied or built as an integral part of a
commercial/non-commercial website/web service/on-line venue/etc. ("service").

That said, Mozilla's trademark forbidding to charge for the redistribution of
exact copies (also in Pale Moon's trademark policy) is enough to be
inadmissible: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/foundation/trademarks/policy/
