Alternatively, you can write the command in a file (for instance on your  
desktop) that you render executable (you can do that from the Permissions  
tab of the Properties window you get from the menu that pops-up when you  
right-click on the file).


A double-click on the file and the command runs.

If you have a command that does the job, you only need to write it in an  
executable file and you got your shortcut.
