Re: [Trisquel-users] notebook help
unfortunately all laptops for sale in Portugal has already windows said once and I'll say it again I think Portugal deserved a complaint to the authority of competition and consumer rights of European union the only exception is of course apple
Re: [Trisquel-users] notebook help
I have to buy 5 notebooks I know thinkpenguin for Portugal is very expensive 23% tax and more minifree is also expensive.
Re: [Trisquel-users] notebook help
Would an internal libre wifi card be an option (like what minifree does for its laptops), or are there compatibility issues?
Re: [Trisquel-users] notebook help
I guess you could try asking the free suppliers for a discount since you're getting 5. I have no idea whether they'd be interested though. It's crazy one can't buy a computer without windoze!
[Trisquel-users] notebook help
I need to buy a notebook to install trisquel I wanted to know your opinion http://www.acer.com/ac/pt/PT/content/model/NX.SHFEB.002 http://www8.hp.com/pt/pt/products/laptops/product-detail.html?oid=10110488#!tab=specs which of the two will give me less work wireless etc.
Re: [Trisquel-users] notebook help
I can not recommend very slim design, like ultrabooks, but IntelĀ® CeleronĀ® Processor N3050 has only 6w of TDP. Does Acer has a SATA or onboard soldered flash memory? I recommend you to buy used Thinkpad, x60, t400. If you have money, just buy a Minifree laptop. As said Magic Banana, if you buy new notebook, a part of your money, goes to Microsoft (the evil company). So, do not buy a computer with Microsoft Windows preinstalled.
Re: [Trisquel-users] notebook help
Some sellers will occasionally try to clean the hands of the manufacturers by giving you some amount of money and removing the product themselves, but this is not their obligation, and only serves to make the corresponding right/law ineffective if no one else is able to pressure the manufacturer on complying with the law.
Re: [Trisquel-users] notebook help
Here in Brazil we have an article that gives the consumer the right to demand that the manufacturer removes any product that is bundled together with the main product, and all this must be done without additional acquisition price for the consumer, and the bundled product price must also be discounted from the acquisition price. If I recall correctly, France has recently adapted a rule/law to similar effect. Perhaps you also have the same right in Portugal. You just have to remember two things: 1. In most countries, most rights are subjective, and so targets only some people. Other students on the legal field also state that: unless such people inform themselves of their rights and demand them, the rights are not always applied. 2. It depends on you and the people that assist or represent you to seek this rights.
