The (ever-so-helpful-finger-in-everything-way-too-huge) gov't has made it so unprofitable that there is a major shortage of flu shots this year--which is why we have all the media coverage about flu shots this year. I have been immunized against immunizations because I don't believe inthem. Exodus 15:26 says, "I will put none of these diseases upon thee,which I have brought upon the Egyptians." If God gives me such apromise, it would be nothing but doubt and unbelief for me to injectmyself or my family with these same diseases with the idea that I amgoing to protect myself from them. I realize that this is a faith walkand a conscience thing that everyone must work out for themselves. David, it is okay if you want to be anti-flu shots. But be careful not to fall into the Liberals camp of being anti-drug companies. They hate all large corporations, and will do anything to defame them and legislate them right out of business. We can actually thank the Clinton administration for restricting prices on flu shots; thereby inducing the drug co's to only make as much as they are sure they can sell; otherwise they lose money. Drug companies are just another expression of capitalistic freedom (ie: if they don't make a profit they go out of business), and they happen to save thousands of lives in the process. They are criticized for charging "too much" for their products, but they get NO reimbursement for all the millions they spend on research that does not pan out, and the folks who make the most money are your local pharmacies and hospitals and HMO's who act as middle men. I'm not a big lover of taking drugs unnecessarily, but I'm thrilled that they are available when the gov't stays out of things.
