[tslug] Bringing box, etc.
Dear Nate, et al.: I plan to bring my Lindows box, maybe my laptop computer, and the pertinent paraphernalia. Do I (huff, puff) need to bring (huff, puff) a monitor also? Andy C. A. Hilgartner. I haven't used alpha2 much, but I can attest that it starts and logs in on win2k. However I did use alpha1 a fair bit without much trouble, and I would assume that it only got better. Also, gaim is very stable in linux, so there is no problem with the actual code base. I've been using Gaim since I started with Linux and it's gotten a _lot_ better since then... I haven't ever used the Windows equivalent, but if it's anything like the Linux version, I think it ought to be included. I honestly find it easier to use than Trillian, which I know a lot of people use. It doesn't support file transfer (that I know of), which is the only gripe I have with it, but other than that it does everything else and it does it well. I say include it! -- Andy Linsenbardt [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://andyl.linux-site.net/ "In the first place, God made idiots. That was for practice.
