This is a new evidence that coding efficiency is more a question of coder quality than anything else...

Don't know about "new", The book Peopleware was highlighting that fact 20 years ago! It also showed the type of environment that maximised the productivity of good
programmers - sadly, most of that is still ignored in businesses today.

But the real challenge is how to raise the standard of the average programmer to narrow the gap between the best and the norm. Higher level languages like Python are one way
to do that.
