Re: I wasn't paying attention, what happened to featured?
Please do remove it. I didn't explicitly deprecate it, but we no longer keep that list of users updated so the corresponding API method is essentially worthless. Am I crazy, or did /statuses/featured.format go away? I can't find anything in the changelog, and my search-fu is too weak to find anything on this list. I'm going to leave it in the version I release today, but I'd like to know if I can remove it going forward. -- Alex Payne - API Lead, Twitter, Inc. http://twitter.com/al3x

It's probably worth mentioning that this partnership doesn't have any bearing on the API. I would've mentioned if it did :) On Mon, Dec 15, 2008 at 14:57, Andrew Badera and...@badera.us wrote: hehehe my first thought when I heard rumblings, before details, was what about jaiku? Not sure that's good or bad - Surely the API Lead should get huge stock grant in GOOG ;) 2008/12/15 Alex Payne a...@twitter.com It's probably worth mentioning that this partnership doesn't have any bearing on the API. problem returning a public status
Hi there, I run crowdstatus and am updating my code to use gnip and therefore only connect to twitter when I need to instead of polling when the user wants some info. I am getting the error - Clients may not make more than 100 requests per hour. How do I get around this? I am not logged in with an account as it is not needed to access these files (public users status xml). It works fine on my local machine and I have done over 100 requests in an hour. Is twitter blocking crowdstatus.com? I would love to resolve this as its a real blocker for the new version of crowdstatus. Kind Regards Darren
Location information in the Tweet without doing an Advanced Search
Awhile back the Search API (Atom or JSON) would deliver a location or lat/long with each status update. I just picked up development again and found that the location attribute is now missing. Can this be reimplemented? It would be great if the information was there without having to do a geolocation based search. Thanks, Shaun
