By the way, in the "OAuth at Twitter" in http://dev.twitter.com/pages/auth page, just above the diagram "OAUTH AUTHENTICATION FLOW", it says: "The flow varies slightly when using a desktop application with what's called the "PIN-mode flow" or exchanging login credentials using xAuth."
