Right now there is no way to add a custom source from curl using Basic Auth. You can, however, force it to say "from web" by adding "source=web" in the POST variables. Eagle1, In order to customer the "from API", your application must authenticate with Twitter using OAuth. There are several libraries available that implement OAuth.
