Oh really, I wouldn't consider this "normal". On all my sites it always only
shows the two cooluri tables.

Hey,

Not sure where to report this so I'll post it here.

how about forge.typo3.org? But you'd notice that it has been already
reported.

I went to COMPARE in the install tool and was given this notice:

There seems to be a number of differencies between the database and the
selected SQL-file.
Please select which statements you want to execute in order to update your
database:

Going into my local installation, I'm getting tons of such "errors" and

[TYPO3-english] jb_gd_resize does not resize pop-up image

2011-12-16 Thread lists.typo3.org
I am using the extension jb_gd_resize since imagemagick is not available at
my webhost. It works fine with ordinary images in image text content
elements. However, the pop-up images with click-enlarge property is not
resized. The pop-up image is only partly shown since it is not resized to
fit in the pop-up window. Anyone who knows what to do in order to force
jb_gd_resize to resize the pop-up image?

Take a look at the Install Tool settings. Especially: pageNotFound_handling and
pageNotFound_handling_statheader
Keep in mind that Extensions like cooluri might intercept this mechanism as
they have their own handling.

I guess we'd need a setting somewhere (not necessarily in the TCA) which
completely ignores a table.
I think would break TYPO3 somewhere if the cooluri tables were added to the
TCA, as their structure doesn't conform to the TYPO3 style. (And it's also not
good to blow up the tables with superfluous fields.)

[TYPO3-english] Redirecting to home page when links are broken

2011-12-16 Thread Greg L
Hi all,

I've recently taken over a Typo3 based site, so I'm still getting to
grips with a few things. We've noticed recently that when files are
removed from the system these links go to the home page, however the
styling is lost. This applies to any non-valid link. We'd rather see a
404 or better still redirect to the home page (with the correct
styling). Any ideas on what I could do? Thanks in advance.

Sure, you can create any HTML structure.

Then you just need some JS lib which does the job for you.

Re: [TYPO3-english] Salted hashes and security

2011-12-16 Thread Victor Livakovsky

Hi, Markus.

What is the exact message shown by the report?

The message is shown in "Security" section:
"Backend user password hashes" - "Insecure"
During the configuration check of saltedpasswords the following issues have
been found:

Warnings about your configuration
SaltedPasswords might behave different than expected:

The backend is configured to use SaltedPasswords with RSA
authentication.

SaltedPasswords has been configured to enforce salted passwords
(forceSalted).
This means that only passwords in the format of this extension will
succeed for login.
IMPORTANT: This has the effect that passwords that are set from the
Install Tool will not work!

Note, that a wrong configuration might have impact on the security of your
TYPO3 installation and the usability of the backend.

Re: [TYPO3-english] gridelements in 4.6

2011-12-16 Thread Chris Müller

Hi Dominic,

first you create a grid element. Give it a title and hide this title.

Then you create another element, go to the extended tab and choose your
grid element (that's why you should use a title). Your content element
reloads and you can now choose your column.

Save it and enjoy ;-)

Unfortunately it doesn't work right now out of the box if you create the
content element via the "add element" of the column. You have to choose
the grid element and the column manually by now.

Also it is recommended to use the current svn version. There are some
bugs from the TER version already fixed.

Regards,
Chris.

Re: [TYPO3-english] cooluri bug

2011-12-16 Thread Markus Klein
Hi Doug,

This issue exists since ages.
It's not a Core bug, but a flaw in cooluri.

The reason is that these tables are not added to the TCA, as they are not
supposed to be shown on any page.
Currently I'm not aware of any method to mark these tables as valid, used
tables whilst being hidden in the normal BE.

Kind regards
Markus
