Re: [TYPO3-english] ext: newsletter

2012-08-17 Thread Georg Schönweger
it is possible by editing the newsletter record via list module. There
it is the field Attachements ... It's a pity that it isn't possible to
set attachments via newsletter module.

Re: [TYPO3-english] ext: newsletter - iso-8859-1

2012-08-10 Thread Georg Schönweger
I solved it now by using ext:css2inline. I modified this extension so
that content saved in Typo3 (iso-8859-1) gets converted to utf-8.

 If i don't find a good solution i could try to run just the newsletter
 with utf-8 by hacking somehow localconf.php, eg. set forceCharSet to
 utf-8 only on newsletter pages. Or i have to switch to direct_mail. It's
 a pitty becaues i like this new newsletter extension!

 I know, that it is not the answer, but you may try to convert your

Did you do a real mailing? The test mail doesn't replace markers.

Now i see the problem ... Markers are substituded correctly if not used
in Header Fields. Header fields are transformed to uppercase and won't
be replaced afterwards in plain text version. I opened a ticket;

[TYPO3-english] ext newsletter change plain text converter

2012-08-10 Thread Georg Schönweger
Hi,

another question regarding ext newsletter. Anybody else having
problems to select another Plain text converter than the default one
(Builtin html converter)? If i select Lynx or Plain text template
typeNum=99 and send the newsletter via testmail or via the queue i get
always plain text rendered by builtin html converter. In the module if i
click on plain the preview is rendered correctly with the right converter.

[TYPO3-english] ext: newsletter - iso-8859-1

2012-08-08 Thread Georg Schönweger
Hi,

Normally i use direct_mail for newsletters, but this time i want to give
the new extension newsletter a try.
The site where i want to install the extension unfortunally is
iso-8859-1 encoded. It seems that other encodings than utf-8 are not
supported by the extension. In my case encoding is set to utf-8 in email
source, but should be iso-8859-1. Other strange thing is that the mail
content is repeatet a few times.

Anybody having an idea how to combine newsletter and iso-8859-1?

My installation:
Typo3 4.5
newsletter 1.2.3
$TYPO3_CONF_VARS['BE']['forceCharset'] = 'iso-8859-1';
$TYPO3_CONF_VARS['MAIL']['substituteOldMailAPI'] = '0';

thanks,
Georg
