[TYPO3-english] Workflow, Versioning and FluidPages
It's been a couple of years since I last used versioning and workspaces. Now that he site is about to go live I wanted to work on setting up workflows using versioning and workspaces for new-editors, etc... The workspace extension was not active by default in 6.1 After activating it - We had numerous issues - and had to apply patches that had to do with being in an english language mode, etc... Is there anyone that has this combo running? Workflow, Versioning, FluidPages (https://github.com/FluidTYPO3/fluidpages) and Typo3 v6.1?? At this moment our Workflow module is visible and we can generate an new workspace, but Versioning Management is not available although it is installed and activated in the Extension Manager. We do not see the backend module at all. Thanks Jaco ___ TYPO3-english mailing list TYPO3-english@lists.typo3.org http://lists.typo3.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/typo3-english
Re: [TYPO3-english] Workflow - published until approved by chief editor
Thanks for your help. I have read the documentation, I did workspace Draft and have given a group of users. When I login to the user then actually turn on the workspace Draft so I make the change. This change is recorded in the Draft and a moderator can approve it but it does not matter because it was published. Why is this happening? What am I doing wrong? Re: [TYPO3-english] Workflow - published until approved by chief editor
Hi Tomasz, Did you have a look at the extension documentation? You find it starting from TYPO3 4.6 by clicking on the extension name in the Extension Manager. It should be pretty self-explaining and help you start using workflows. Kind regards Tomasz Imbierczak wrote: On one of the pages I read something like this: Workflow - With TYPO3 Workflow it is much easier to work with content for big teams. If you have a huge web site with a lot of content and a team of several editors, checkers and news makers, then you will get great benefit with TYPO3 workflow capabilities. With TYPO3 Workflow you can grant privileges flexibly #8211; so editors could prepare content, but it won't be published until approved by chief editor. He could publish it or return for revision. [TYPO3-english] Workflow
Hi, I would like to apply a work-flow to a group of users along the lines below (I am working with TYPO3 v4.4.2, versioning 1.2.0): 1. No access to the live workspace, all new and modified content to be made in a custom draft workspace. 2. Publication is via a selected user who will normally swap the new content with the old so that the old content becomes archived. I want to end up with an archive comprising all the superseded versions. I have this working (more-or-less). However, once the swap has been made my restricted users can now only see the archived version and not the current, live version. Obviously this makes it very difficult for them to create new drafts from the live content. Is there any way round this?
