Vielen Dank.

Das war der Grund. Hatte noch eine alte PHP 5.3 installiert und FileInfo dort 
aktiviert.
Verwendet wurde von Typo3 aber PHP 7, wo FileInfo nicht aktiviert war.

Guten Tag,

beim Hinzufügen eines Bildes erhalte ich bei Bildmanipulation immer die Meldung

No image dimensions could be determined.
Unable to provide image manipulation, because original dimensions of the image 
are unknown.

Was kann das sein?

Ich verwende Typo3 8.7.3
