[U2] [ad] XLr8 Tool release 3.3.8 for Universe and Unidata [/ad]
We at U2logic cannot stop improving our products. We have been hard at working enhancing the copy and paste copy which now can be used at the account level instead of the file level only. You can even copy from a Universe account to a Unidata account and from Unidata to Universe. The copy and paste utility will take care of the sizing the file from each database accordingly to what the size is on the origin database. We have enhanced the XLr8Editor to allow you comment blocks of code just like the Eclipse based Java editor as well as others. We have added the ability to delete files using our new delete wizard. Another enhancement allows you to remove the system files using a filter just like our dictionary filter. Here is a list from our change log: v3.3.8 - November 23, 2011 Bugzilla [Bug 414] Added code preferenece for comment option Remove positional constants for system files array for Unidata and Universe v3.3.7 - November 22, 2011 Bugzilla [Bug 421] Add filter for System files on the project Explorer for Universe and Unidata Bugzilla [Bug 419] Add delete file wizard Bugzilla [Bug 414] XLr8Editor should allow you comment out a block of code v3.3.6 - November 10, 2011 Bugzilla [Bug 409] Filter on the Account saves it selection Bugzilla [Bug 415] XLr8Resizer does show 64BIT or 32BIT options from ANALYZE.FILE Bugzilla [Bug 416] XLr8Resizer preference for Universe for going to 64 bit files Bugzilla [Bug 420] Right Click Project Explorer menu changes The U2logic team thanks all of it users and the team for the contributions to this current release. Get your copy for XLr8 at www.u2logic.com. BTW: The comment code was a suggestion a few weeks ago from one our users. ___ U2-Users mailing list U2-Users@listserver.u2ug.org http://listserver.u2ug.org/mailman/listinfo/u2-users
Re: [U2] UniVerse to UniData Conversion
I am converting some UniVerse code to UniData. The UniVerse code has a COMPARE function for comparing strings rather than just an = to handle some quirks about string comparisons of numbers. Is there an equivalent in UniData. Regards David Jordan ___ U2-Users mailing list U2-Users@listserver.u2ug.org http://listserver.u2ug.org/mailman/listinfo/u2-users
Re: [U2] UniVerse to UniData Conversion
Depending on what you are looking for the SCMP(x,y) function may be what you are looking for. Or you can always append a letter to each string you are comparing to force a string comparison. hth Colin Alfke Calgary, Canada From: David I am converting some UniVerse code to UniData. Re: [U2] Converting an account from UniVerse to UniData
I thought Dave Taylor from Sysmark might reply to this. They have some tools for dumping accounts that may be what you are looking for. It also looks like Doug's Xlr8 editor may also do this now. hth Colin Alfke From: David Does anyone have experience converting a UniVerse account to UniData. I have used the UV_RESTORE. It creates the files but does not copy the data. Regards David Jordan ___ U2-Users mailing list U2-Users@listserver.u2ug.org http://listserver.u2ug.org/mailman/listinfo/u2-users
