We create postscript output, use a perl app in the &DEVICE& driver and use
ghostscript
Perl example

$gs = "gs -q -dNOPAUSE -dBATCH -sDEVICE=pdfwrite
\"-sOutputFile=$dest_path/$pdf\" -c .setpdfwrite -f \"$src_path/$psfile\"";

Or do the reverse have the MS Telnet server run on a different port.
Go into Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Telnet Server
