And it will be very difficult to fix :-( The obvious solution is to upgrade to Windows 7 professional, unfortunately. There's a lot of stuff that doesn't work on Home Edition, like XP compatibility for example :-( I suspect this is just another. If its Windows 7, its probably best to use Samba version 3.5 or higher if your distro offers it. At least use version 3 or higher. Hope you solved your problem. We are using smbclient. Additional information - We have determined that when windows live is installed on the workstation the smbclient is unable to communicate with th eLinux server. HOW are you trying to print from Linux to Windows? We are having issue in printing to a windows printer from a Linux server. When we try to print to a Windows 7 machine we are getting errors on the windows seven machine.
