We put it onto 7.2

Like this

Unpack the zip into a working directory on your Linux box, I normally name the
directory 'cdrom'.

Uncompress the *.Z files,

# for f in *.Z
 > do
 > uncompress $f
 > done

This should do it.

Get the uv.load script from the STARTUP archive (don't think IBM documented this bit)

# cpio -icvdumB uv.load < STARTUP

run uv.load,

# ./uv.load -longnames

It prompts from there as I remember

it's been awhile, i think i was able to get them to run on 6.2 ? 7.2 for
sure... 
we needed the right glib's for one...
