Re: [UV] Ever wondered how something works...

By the way, the fastest way to get rid of an unwanted Select list (in
Universe):
 ED [Enter] [Enter]
 and the list is gone...

Even quicker,

who [Enter]

Re: Two ways to acquire the U2 Tech Support Survival Kit CD

2004-03-02 Thread Tony Wood
Hi David,

In the latest IBM U2 Newsletter they have an email address with instructions
to get the CD sent to you. I got mine yesterday so about two to three
working days.

What about us down here? Is it available outside the US?

Yes it is available outside the US (I'm in Melbourne).

T.

Re: telnet

2004-02-29 Thread Tony Wood
Hi Greg,

Is there another telnet service already running? UniVerse's telnet service
can not run if another program is listening on port 23.

Re: UV - NLS

2004-02-17 Thread Tony Wood
Also, check that no existing 0xACEE segment exists (i'm sure this has
 been done).

I have frequently found that I have needed to stop UniVerse two or three
times before doing a uvregen inorder for it to work.

Also try nls.stamp just before the uvregen and see if that makes a
difference.

T.

Yes for UniVerse but not RedBack (at the moment).

I will be curious to see what you find and what you do here.

Is anyone out there using Universe and RedBack on Linux? If so, how's the
performance? For those who are not on Linux, are you considering Linux as
 an option for the future?
