So their warning about only using them for POE cameras not IP isn't true?

We used a pair of these to power a NB19 about 1200 ft from a house with
CAT5 up a driveway to clear woods. It runs a 56 vdc so you need to add a
ubiquiti convertor to get it back to 24v

Our only issue was a lightning strike nearby in the first year that
cooked one side. Veracity replaced it under warranty no questions asked.
It's been 2 years since and haven't rebooted it once. I'm sure power has
been out a few times though. YMMV

2018-01-26 Thread mike . lyon
I usually roll my own extenders. I purchase these:

UHPPOTE 1 Port 10/100M PoE Extender IEEE802.3af For Ethernet Security Systems
IP Camera https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M28RTKZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_4c3AAb59M2VEK

Install them in an outdoor box

$30 for an outdoor box, $20 for an extender, $50 total instead of the
over-priced veracity units.

We used a pair of these to power a NB19 about 1200 ft from a house with
CAT5 up a driveway to clear woods. It runs a 56 vdc so you need to add a
ubiquiti convertor to get it back to 24v

We also found that upgrading clients to 6.14 on 2GHz band killed channel 2464
in 10 MHz width. We have had sectors on that channel for years and the other
day we upgraded a bunch of sector clients to 6.14 and on 2 different sectors
the clients did not come back online. After messing with it. We finally
changed channel and they come back. Finally had to set those sector to 2462
MHz since 2464 would not work.
