JUST A THOUGHT ON A IDEA
hi, actually maybe the command could even be on the desktop of the live CD, and run the terminal along with the sudo su command. That way a person new to linux wouldn't even have to use the terminal to install. There could be the install, and blindinstall icon on the desktop. Just a thought. If this could be done, ubiquity wouldn't have to be modified for us. X-Antivirus: avast! just a idea
Hi, seeing that you have to run orca with no setup from the terminal to install ubuntu. I wondered if a script or small program could be written to get a person started. For example maybe the command could be to type blindinstall from a terminal. Then orca would be loaded with no setup, and ubiquity started. This was just a idea. I am not a programmer, and don't know what would be involved to do this. Not really. kttsd can be used to read text from documents if the application has a plugin (Konqueror does). Otherwise one needs to be written. One would need to be written using the qdbusbridge which is packaged at http://ppa.dogfood.launchpad.net/nixternal/ubuntu/ (you need to export QT_ACCESSIBILITY=1), qdasher seems to work a bit so the framework is all there. http://labs.trolltech.com/page/Projects/Accessibility/QDasher Jonathan -- Ubuntu-accessibility mailing list Ubuntu-accessibility@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-accessibility
