Re: Problem with thunderbird in ububuntu 17.04.

2017-05-11 Thread Kyle
It doesn't sound like your problem is with Thunderbird. I think Gmail is
the culprit here. It's possible it doesn't fully recognize you and
thinks you're trying to login from an unknown device. You will need to
verify that you are you by other means before Google will unblock your
access to that account. It's possible that logging into the blocked
account via gmail.com will fix this, but you also may need to authorize
Thunderbird to access your Google account, which it usually does
automatically via a popup with an allow button. Otherwise, there are a
few other options you can try that may also unblock your access.

Problem with thunderbird in ububuntu 17.04.

2017-05-11 Thread Matthew Dyer
Hi all, not sure if this is a problem with orca thunderbird or both,
but using Ubuntu 17.04 unity desktop, orca 3.22 and the latesed
thunderbird. I imported my settings over from a tbird profile that I
had backed up and after doing this, things worked fine, but now today I
started thunderbird and was prompted to sign in to my gmail account, but
found that though I could see my email address, I was ubnable to
activate the next button to enter my password. I should point that this
happened when trying to add the account from scratch. Note, I have 2
gmail accounts and the second one works just fine. Anyone here seeing
this and how to fix this. I could try to remove my settings but not
sure this would fix it as I had the same problem when setting things up
manually. Also, the more opsions button did not give me anything
either. Thanks.

Matthew
