I have successfully installed ubuntu 11.10 as a virtual machine under vm ware
fusion.
I had to raise the volume after installation, but that was no problem.
I used the f 10 key and found some menus.
Now I know how to shut down.
But using fire fox was harder than using vinux.
Getting to some menus was complicated by the overall menu being merged with the
fire fox menu.
Also, the web visum plug-in did not function. Or, if it did, I could not get
to the dialog box where I entered my name and password.
Also, it is still hard for me to know where familiar applications have gone.
But, maybe I will get more comfortable with 11.10.
And, maybe ubuntu will improve over time.
For now, vinux is still my first choice of linux distributions.
