yes, these issues are known. There is currently bad sound breakage in intrepid,
and won't be looked at until next week at the earliest.
Everybody please note. If you try using intrepid, please expect things to be
broken, or to break on upgrade. There is a lot of stuff in intrepid undergoing
massive change right now, so unless you are willing to fix frequent breakage, I
would strongly advise staying away from intrepid.
