shutdown menu item

2009-03-24 Thread Guy Schlosser
Hi all, I just have a quick question regarding Ubuntu Jaunty. I
recall earlier, Luke saying he was going to try and put the shutdown
menu item back in the system menu. Is that still going to
happen? Not that I can't get to it through the toolbar, but I'm so
used to seeing shutdown in the system menu, that it's a little wierd
to me. I have to say though, I am extremely impressed with the
responsiveness of orca in Jaunty. If I can get the crackling and
studdering to go away when I go to play a game of asteroids or Galaga
using sdlmame, I won't have to disable pulseaudio in favor of Alsa,
like I have done on my desktop machine, running Intrepid.

Thanks,

Guy

Unfortunately I can't convince the powers that be to make the shutdown menu
item the default again, however when you install from the live CD using the
blindness/Braille accessibility profiles, the shutdown menu will be there as
you expect it.
