[Ubuntu-apps-bugs] [Bug 1680053] [NEW] When inputMethodHint is set to Qt.ImhPreferNumbers switch to ?123 page

2017-04-05 Thread Andrew Hayzen
Public bug reported:

When the inputMethodHint is set to Qt.ImhPreferNumbers it would be nice
to automatically switch to the ?123 page by default rather than the ABC.

The use case for this is within print dialog for the page range field
where the user needs to be able to type numbers, dash and comma. Which
Qt.ImhDigitsOnly and Qt.ImhFormattedNumbersOnly are not adequate (as you
cannot type a comma within those).

** Affects: ubuntu-keyboard (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Medium

[Ubuntu-apps-bugs] [Bug 1671121] [NEW] Deleting something from the history view breaks scrolling and the ability to click on some things

2017-03-08 Thread Andrew Hayzen
Public bug reported:

What happened:
1) Launch the webbrowser-app
2) Go to the history view
3) Scroll up/down and notice that the scrolling works
4) Right-click delete the first entry
5) Try to scroll up/down and notice that the scrolling doesn't work, notice you
can't click on history entries, but you can select back in the header. Notice
then you can't scroll the webviews or select any of the tabs.

What I expected to happen:
After step #4 for the scrolling/click focus to still function.

[Ubuntu-apps-bugs] [Bug 1223050] Re: [PageStack] Calling positionViewAtIndex cause the page header misbehave

2017-02-02 Thread Andrew Hayzen
Since the music-app has moved to using the new header, I don't think I'm
able to reproduce this any more. Therefore I'm marking this as fixed
within the music-app.

[Ubuntu-apps-bugs] [Bug 1638337] [NEW] Progress bar is shown after opening new window

2016-11-01 Thread Andrew Hayzen
Public bug reported:

What happened:
1) Open the webbrowser-app
2) Navigate to a website, note that the progress bar goes blue, shows progress
and disappears
3) Open a new tab, notice there is no progress bar
4) Open a new window
5) Notice that you are on the new tab view, but there is a grey progress bar
shown with no progress

Note: if you open another tab, navigate to a website. The progress bar
functions and disappears, then if you go back to the first tab the
progress bar is now hidden.

What I expected to happen:
At step 5 when viewing the new tab view in the new window, that the progress

[Ubuntu-apps-bugs] [Bug 1632276] [NEW] Unable to download SVG images via right click

2016-10-11 Thread Andrew Hayzen
Public bug reported:

What happened:
1) Navigate to a site displaying a SVG image inline [0]
2) Notice that, in this case, the svg is actually rendered as a png (as wiki
states "Size of this PNG preview of this SVG file: 285 × 285 pixels")
3) Note that you can right click and perform "save image"
4) Now left click on the image to navigate to its source
5) Notice that you now cannot right click on the svg to "save image"

What I expected to happen:
- At step 5 to be able to save the svg in the same way as other images or an
option such as "save document"

I suspect the issue is that the browser detects the svg as a document not an
image, looking at other browsers (Firefox and Chrome), they allow for a "Save
Page As..." option which allows you to save the svg document/image.

Running trunk webbrowser-app on xenial + stable phone overlay.

[Ubuntu-apps-bugs] [Bug 1630211] [NEW] Moving a tab quickly when there are many tabs open, sometimes causes tab to left in a incorrect position

2016-10-04 Thread Andrew Hayzen
Public bug reported:

What happened:
1) Open the webbrowser and many tabs
2) Select the first tab
3) Drag the tab quickly from the left side to the right
4) Notice that as you are dragging the tab lags and is sometimes left at a
previous position (not the end)

What I expected to happen:
At step 4 for the tab to be in the correct position.

This occurs because the tab move() only moves +/- 1 at any time, and is
performed onXChanged. Which occurs from the animation of the change X
position from the mouse. However if you move fast enough the animation
skips certain values, causing some moves to be missed.

[Ubuntu-apps-bugs] [Bug 1622969] [NEW] History view is slow to load with a large amount of records

2016-09-13 Thread Andrew Hayzen
Public bug reported:

What happened:
The history view takes many seconds (between 8-9 seconds on mako) to load when
it has a large number of records (I currently have 4640 records).

What I expected to happen:
For the view to load in a reasonable amount of time, by either only showing
recent entries or trimming the db. Other browsers only show the history for
today/yesterday in the initial view and then have buttons to show older history.

Note: that when testing multiple windows, if one window is looking at
the history view and the other navigates to page it blocks the UI for a
few seconds as the history view is being updated.

** Description changed:

  What happened:
- The history view takes many seconds to load when it has a large number of
records (I currently have 4640 records).
+ The history view takes many seconds (between 8-9 seconds on mako) to load
when it has a large number of records (I currently have 4640 records).

  What I expected to happen:
For the view to load in a reasonable amount of time, by either only showing
recent entries or trimming the db. Other browsers only show the history for
today/yesterday in the initial view and then have buttons to show older history.

-
- Note: that when testing multiple windows, if one window is looking at the
history view and the other navigates to page it blocks the UI for a few seconds
as the history view is being updated.

Bug description:
The migration to 1.3 needs to happen in a coordinated way, so that
shell and all apps we care of migrate within the same OTA window to
reduce visual inconsistencies to a minimum.

This bug is a means to collect all the projects affected and keep tabs
  on what's happening.

  NOTES:
  - *All* Ubuntu.Components imports (including ListItems, Popups, Pickers,
Theme, Styles etc.) should go to 1.3.
  - Theme is now theme (lowercase)
  - PageHeadStyle now has a "config" property
