[ubuntu-art] new member

2006-09-18 Thread Chris Lemire
Hello everyone! I am a new member to this mailing list. I've been using Ubuntu since Hoary Hedgehog. I love the artwork in it. I see a few improvements needed, but most of what I see is very good, and each new release has some more artwork. I am also friends with two very talented artists who I am trying to get to contribute. Thanks for having me on the mailing list.

I see you picked up my idea about ' polish ' :)I like this very much :)I don't vote for any of them since I don't know what the gdm/wallpaper will be :)Tough, I like 007 splash most.Very, very nice work !

Re: [ubuntu-art] [WIKI] Defining the sabdfl aesthetic

2006-09-18 Thread Mark Shuttleworth

Thanks for doing this Troy. I can appreciate that I'm difficult to
please, and it's useful at least to know what's worked in the past.

It's easiest for me to give feedback in person or at least by voice.
Can we organise a conference call for the AiC, Jmak, myself and
yourself to discuss the state of Edgy further? I feel we need to drive
this exploration to a pointed conclusion.

Mark

Re: [ubuntu-art] 'Sets' of designs + FAILSAFE versions added - comments?

2006-09-18 Thread Álvaro Medina Ballester
Great work men! I love the idea that the wallpaper should be simple, without the Ubuntu logo and also I love the GDM theme. Simply and beautiful, it's great! I made a wallpaper a few days ago and now I know how to improve it, giving 'caramel' tones, as your wallpaper.
I far prefer your great designs instead of the idea of making all with brown shades. Now we have to start thinking about the Panel!!Cheers.Álvaro.
