f-spot is solid, although I wonder if the photos should stand in front?

As I said before, we do not wanna stray so far from the upstream look.
It's their brand. People recognize that and we should not heavily alter it.

I'm for making icons that will match Breathe, but still retain the
upstream look. ie: The Rhythmbox icon on the wiki.

Thorsten, thank you for you comments as always.
Cory, I made a new icon for f-spot based on the previous one and the
original. Let me know what you think.

I think the camera is distracting and the icon will ultimately become a
mess at lower sizes. I like the F-Spot icon you have going in the
background. Let's remove the camera and go with that.

[ubuntu-art] Ongoing Breathe Work.

2008-10-26 Thread Cory K.
For now, I will be going with the mimetypes in the Oxygen set. I will be
getting the icons up and on the Wiki/BZR once I return from Mexico.

I want more focus on the drive icons. The system icons we should go
after 1st before we really push on the app icons.

I will be getting more Oxygen icons in BZR once I'm done the Mimes. That
should give us a good visual as to what needs to be worked on.

[ubuntu-art] Breathe Keyboard

2008-10-26 Thread Cory K.
We need 2 keyboards drawn.

* One that fits the perspective/style of the computer icon.
  https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Artwork/BreatheIconSet/Icons
* Another that shows more of the keyboard to be used as it's own icon.

Have at it. :)

it says its lgpl. is it good?

Yes, but the icon is not original to the Oxygen set. Was it made for Refit?

I'd like others to chime in on the use of this icon.

[ubuntu-art] Human Synergy GTK Theme

2008-10-26 Thread John Baer
I've been working on this theme for some time and finally it is here for
your consideration.

I placed the download and many screen shots on my projWiki as I am also
crafting a new MoinMoin theme titled AvantGarde that needs testing.

http://wiki.iffii.com/index.cgi/SynergyGtkTheme

I suggest taking a look at the screen shots and then installing if that
is your desire.

Cheers!

Re: [ubuntu-art] Human Synergy GTK Theme

2008-10-26 Thread Ryan Prior
Looks great on Hardy. I wish there were some more orange where there is
currently blue/grey, especially in slider bars and in button mouse-overs.

I don't like that the task list is all dark except for the currently active
window. I would prefer that the inactive tabs have the color that they
currently have with mouseover, and mouseover could then introduce some
orange color. That way, they would stand out more.

Thanks for your work!
-Ryan

P.S. What's the practical difference between a test run install and a
true install?
