That might work. I've seen sets that use similar icons for prefs and
volume mixers.

I'll leave it for Sebastian to explore. Though, to add my 2 cents, I
think as a mixer we should remove 1 slider and make the peak meter vertical.

I updated the wiki with a new version for preferences-desktop with a couple
of knobs and a peak meter as Cory suggestted.
Also I retouched the highlights a little.
