 Hi
 This is great news Kenneth.
As you might remember I posted a small collection of photos titled the
 Ubuntu Wallpaper Photo Pack”
 (
 http://anotherubuntu.blogspot.com/2009/04/ubuntu-wallpaper-photo-pack.html
 )
and I would love to see the “extra wallpaper package” (as you call it)
 land with success in 9.10.
For some quality submissions, I think we should inform Ubuntu
 Photographers about this.

Where should photo submissions for the “extra” package be uploaded?

Nice! Especially the koala. ^^
Currently, I'm using wallpapers from these wallpaper sets :
http://troy-sobotka.blogspot.com/2008/11/gift-from-me-to-you.html
http://troy-sobotka.blogspot.com/2008/12/happy-holiday-gift-set.html
I like the red and orange colors that remind of the ubuntu colors, but with
more nature colors like green. :)
I don't know if they follow the guidelines for inclusion, though...

How would I submit it for consideration?

Add it to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Artwork/Incoming/Karmic/Backgrounds
Please ask back if the guide there isn't sufficient.

But note that Kenneth spoke of organizing the backgrounds according to a
predefined set of adjective, which is not in place, yet.

It would be nice if you could add a high-res version of
http://picasaweb.google.com/jblackhall/EasterNatureWalk#5323909486841271794
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Artwork/Incoming/Karmic/Backgrounds, with a
CC-BY or CC-BY-SA license.
It might make a decent background as is, could be colored in many ways
or be used to add a bit of texture to a digital painting.

Something between
http://picasaweb.google.com/jblackhall/EasterEdits#5324384043932064706
and
http://picasaweb.google.com/jblackhall/EasterNatureWalk#5323910421420622354
with the flower in the front more to the right could work quite well.

Are these the adjectives or the suggestions?
I think Nature would be a good one as well :)
