Just mimic what I'm doing here. That is: reply blow quotes, quote only
what you refer to directly.

I guess it's time to start targeting 10.10 rather than 10.04.

Wallpaper submissions via Flickr, themes for the community-themes
packages and countdown banners are the clear options for contributing.

If anything else is needed, it usually comes with requirements making it
a job for the designers at Canonical and only in rare cases for trusted
community members of proven skill.

So you might want to consider working for a derivative or a specific
piece of software, as you may find more need, freedom and reward there.

[ubuntu-art] New guy

2010-04-13 Thread josh
Hello everyone. Been running Ubuntu for a while now and figured it was
about time to truly get involved other then just being a user and
promoter/fanboy.
I've been running Gimp for the past 3 years now after getting myself
away from Photoshop. As for the list posting/replying I am still
slightly confused to how it works. If anyone knows of anything that
still needs to be designed before LTS's release, let me know and I will
try and get it done.

[ubuntu-art] Artwork for Ubuntu Liquid

2010-04-13 Thread irlawrence

Hi
Ubuntu Liquid [1] is a community maintained distribution for mobile devices.

The principal objective is to support mobile devices which do not have hardware
accelerated graphics and to bring to these devices the latest updates available
in the Ubuntu world. The first release is scheduled for Meerkat and work was
started during the Lucid cycle on the Liquid blueprint [2]
We would like to have appropriate artwork for our first release hence this call
to the artwork team. If you would like to contribute please shout in
#ubuntu-mobile, ping me (ian_brasil) in #ubuntu-artwork or join the
liquid-hackers team

Thanks

I'm not familiar with the mechanics of identifying a package with a group
and as the RC is close I assume this is a change that will have to wait.

Would it be possible to have this package in the "featured" category of the
software center?
