[ubuntu-art] Artwork Light Wiki Mockup
Hello Everyone, I completed a proof of concept Artwork Wiki site based on the new light theme [ not fully functional :) ]. See the following OMG Ubuntu post for the new look details. You will need to change to this theme to test the Artwork poc. http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2010/10/enable-the-new-look-ubuntu-wiki/ As a sandbox I placed the home page here. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/JohnBaer/Artwork The design abandons the release approach and replaces it with a task approach. A task may be targeted to a specific release if required. Following the flow discussed on the blueprint, requests or proposals would be logged to this page. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/JohnBaer/Artwork/Tasks IMO the desired result would be supported by a back-end database. :) Clicking the Artwork Team Logo task link of request 1 takes you to the spec. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/JohnBaer/Artwork/Specs/Request-1 As suggested by the blueprint every request and proposal should be supported by a spec. The spec serves as the requirements and may give direction as to the process. Submission and submission comments could be handle by ccHost {?}. http://art.ubuntu-owl.org/people/jbaer We have some work to do here. :) Something new to the process and mentioned on the blueprint was providing recognition of effort. Item eight on the task grid shows a status of complete and it is a link. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/JohnBaer/Artwork/Accolades/Request-8 I pulled the icons from the branding emoticons and they are meant to serve as place holders. The final result can be our own handy-work. Hey John, On Sat, 2010-10-30 at 21:21 -0400, John Baer wrote: I completed a proof of concept Artwork Wiki site based on the new light theme [ not fully functional :) ]. So these processes and tools are the tools we're going to use for this cycle to develop our design research on the art/design website task? We may end up jettersoning the wiki altogether, we certainly won't end up using ccHost I don't think since it's php. But what ever we use I think for this cycle we need to be aware of how temporary and transitory our situation is. Submission and submission comments could be handle by ccHost {?}. http://art.ubuntu-owl.org/people/jbaer We have some work to do here. :) I've done the smallest amount of work to support the projects we have in the required ways. Other than that it's not good time to fix it up more. IMO. I'll be working some more on our django project, some code etc and I hope daker, thorwil and others want to continue looking into the design and production of the website with me.
