Hi All,I've attached a link below to a pretty plain desktop I took earlier, just to see if it's the kind of thing you're after. I haven't included any Ubuntu branding as that seems to be the guidance in the canonical wiki. Would be good to get your thoughts, it fits the 'light' theme I think.http://vondesign.deviantart.com/art/LightWoodWallpaper-2560x1600-217646687Thanks,GrahamOn 07 Jul, 2011,at 09:09 PM, ubuntu-art-requ...@lists.ubuntu.com wrote:Send ubuntu-art mailing list submissions to

Thanks for the comments folks! :-)
Kuzeko: Please find the attached image - it is 2560x1600. Removed the text
UBUNTU and the paper files. But retained the logo on the dial.

Hi all,
Here is my HD wallpaper.
Named "The Magic Locker". Did not have any solid idea initially... so
started with creating a wood panel texture and sketched some
meaningless,
stitched-hard paper files. Finally the locker idea kicked in, and the
dial
was drawn. Was reading some news about the upcoming Harry Potter movie,
and
so the name "Magic Locker". :-)

PS :?Imagine this .. say "Lockera Magica"... and *whooshh* the
Magic
Locker dial appears out of nowhere on your desk! LOL.

Hey all,
I like the faenza shape, but I don't like the icons, so I started
making my own. If you know how to work inkscape, and you know icon

then please post that too.

Looks interesting!
But try not to get stuck with just rounded squares for everything.
IMO, it's the most annoying thing in Faenza. It's a clever concept but
everything looks exactly the same and it's not easy/quick to distinguish
the icons without a second glance.

Hey guys,
Just my 2 cents on this topic,
Faenza icons are my least favorite of icons,, I am not sure that it's just
the squareness of them.
Some of them are quite nice and clever in design, but for the most part not.
