Re: [ubuntu-art] Community Feedback

2010-09-24 Thread André Pereira
Hi Martin, my name is André (my nickname is desgua, from my last name
Desgualdo), I'm from São Paulo, Brazil. I am using Ubuntu since 8.04 and
trying to help for a year, although I think I haven't the enough skills yet.
I've made a blog: http://desgualdo.blogspot.com and I've tried to make some
Banners: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Website/MaverickCountdownBanner#desgua's
draft , I've helped with some translations, I've tried to answer some
beginners questions, I've donated.
I will answer your questions:

I was looking on how I could help the free software and the system I love,
so I ended up here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Artwork#Get Involved

I was attracted for this type of participation because I can't make code but
I think I can make some art.

I think we could improve if we had a site with what should be done first and
what can wait. This site should also make possible to add the artwork in
there.

I think we could have a site with all the basic stuff (the bricks to build
the wall) like logos, fonts, colors.

I still find it hard to learn how to contribute.

[ubuntu-art] countdown stucked

2010-09-22 Thread André Pereira
I'm afraid that Maverick Meerkat countdown is stuck at 26 days left.
I don't know who I must inform that, then I posted here.

Re: [ubuntu-art] What would you like to work on?

2010-09-20 Thread André Pereira
May be it would be better if we build some wiki page with groups then
everyone of the more than one thousand subscribers can put her/his name and
contact instead of have one thousand emails.
Saturday I will come home earlier and then I can try to make it.
Regards.

Re: [ubuntu-art] Solutions

2010-09-19 Thread André Pereira
I agree with Charlie: I can't see why it wouldn't be good to have more
members in this list, even if some will not contribute much for a while.
People need time to learn. And I think everyone is welcome at Ubuntu.
