 Hello Everybody!

Thank you all for the nice welcome!

I am glad to be on board and very excited to be part of such a vibrant and
 enthusiastic community.
If you have any questions about our web projects, my artwork, or plain ol'
me, do not hesitate to ask.

You can follow my design IA blurps on identi.ca if you like. User name
 -like everywhere else- is 'arusha'
a name which stuck from way back when I worked on my first art project at
 university.

Looking forward to all your input!

 Speak soon,

 Christina

Re: [ubuntu-art] On the subject of koalas and wallpapers.

2009-04-16 Thread kevin sekniqi
I sorta like it but it would be nicer to make it a little more abstract.

The photo vector combination has a tendency to be rather loud, as you
have that contrast ... but if go this way, try to give the vector art
some meaning, make it look like it is the koala's dream, or if it it the
structure of another plane of existence. It shall not look like just
  something scribbled above the photo.

You could make people happy with just a bit of that vector work, I bet.

I would agree on the 'sleeping' part, placid might be good whereas
dozing tends to give the wrong impression, in my opinion.

But I really like the idea of dreams and/or 'another plane of existance'
since it ties in very nicely with the ideas of the cloud, which seems to
be *the* new feature of Karmic.

Both of these replies add nothing. Give proper feedback. Just saying
that its bad does nothing for the artist.

Personally I feel that the brown is too--- washed out.
