I really think the name would look odd translated... I agree with Steve
Dodier, this is good enough :
Name[fr]=Breathe
Comment[language]=Thème d'icônes Breathe

If we were to try to keep it consistant with the slogan (Because Humans need
Oxygen to Breathe), we could use a translation of the name... For example
"Parce que les Humains ont besoin d'oxygène pour respirer", but I think an
infinitive form ("respirer") is strange, an imperative could be better :
"Respire" (like "*Breathe*!", not like "You need *to breathe*")...

So do we all think we need to keep the name and just translate the
comment? Similar comments have been made on the forums so far.

I'll let some chat happen before I commit these.

As said when I posted it, it needs some work. It's actually based on the
Oxygen one. Generally I like it, target-like or not. ;) It's obvious I'm
willin' to use something different as I've made 2 specific calls (and
mentioned it in other threads) for a start-here so get to work. :)

[ubuntu-art] [Breathe] Translation help needed.

2009-02-08 Thread Cory K.
Ok we got a ton of folks from around the world here so I think we can
get this one shaped up pretty well.

We need to get the Breathe "Name" and "Comment" section translated. I
have a forum post showing the needed languages. (everything but English
really) http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=6693528&postcount=2

I'll be taking submissions there and the ML.

Please format submissions like:

* Name[language]=X
* Comment[language]=X

ATM the English ones are:

* Name[en_GB]=Breathe
* Comment[en_GB]=Breathe Icon Theme

Thanx!!
