For get it thinner the only solution is to convert the disk-sliver into a only a line. It also appears that the sides of the from of the drive need a little work. Something fishy with the angle they are at. I'll work on this icon later. I'm gonna try to improve the form making sure that I got the symmetry right, like Thorsten said. I'm not very happy with the small sizes, so I will redo them. The perspective doesn't let much space above and below of the icon, so I can't put much details on the small ones and they don't look very clear. But, I do want to say it's perfectly acceptable for icons to change perspective at smaller sizes. It was talked about on IRC and the wiki will be updated to reflect this opinion. I believe the current optical and hardrives do this. I do want to say, that I think with the removal of the media from the optical drive is is an improvement over the old Oxygen one. I think we should examine whether a newly proposed icon (*any* new one not just this drive icon) is actually *better* than what's there and we be careful not to change for changes sake. :) -Cory K.
