note that we have a new wallapaer every release since edubuntu exists
and usually adjust gdm and usplash to go conform with the new ubuntu
theme in the edubuntu colorscheme.

we discuss the artwork every edubuntu meeting as a static topic, feel
free to drop by (dates are on the fridge)

edubuntu in in desktop installs and localy on servers uses gdm.
in ltsp on edubuntu thin clients we use a specific display manager
(called LDM) that needs some special treatment and has limited theming
capabilities.

Jordan Mantha (LaserJock) wanted to note that Edubuntu *does* use GDM.

Looking over the control file in the source package for their art shows
 a dep on GDM also.

Hrm, guess I am wrong then :-)

Thanks for checking this out.

Good job for using SVG,

I don't think a LP project is necessary. A page under:
https://wiki.edubuntu.org/Artwork/Incoming/Hardy should be fine. I am
currently in-process of shaping up the Edubuntu art packages.
https://launchpad.net/edubuntu-look. I'm not aiming this work at Hardy
unless we really start to generate alot of work soon.

I should also say we need people who can do GDMs and Usplashes more than
anything. Wallpapers and themes are easer IMO.

The icon set will most likely stay the same.

I think you can delete projects. To me, this will just duplicate the
work needed for packaging. If you don't readily see how, ask on #launchpad.

All the artwork could be done on the WIKI and moved to edubuntu-look
later. Which should be the official art package later. Much like the
Ubuntu art is handled.
