You can file a bug report against the ubuntu package at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/klog/+filebug and they are likely to pass it on to upstream or possibly patch it themselves. Most of the body of this message along with the output of the following 2 commands "uname -a" and "dpkg -l | grep klog" should be enough for them to get the info they need. Re: Team roadmaps - UDS Dallas
Don't know how we would organise fund raising for press ads or how to go about getting them "officially sanctioned". Anyone done this sort of thing before? Got any tips? I'm wondering if there is also an opportunity to get some free press by contacting the local newpapers with a newsworthy story around release time? Of course there are also plenty of tree-friendly ways to get the word out. What do you all think about targeting traditional media to promote Ubuntu? Is it a good medium for reaching potential Ubuntu converts? Solving a Klog program error
I use Klog, an amateur radio logging program which I installed initially under 9.08. When I upgraded to Karma 9.10 this program was updated evidently because it added a ? button after the call sign entry field. Clicking ? while connected to the Internet connects to qrz.com where one can find details on the owner of the call sign (by the way my call sign is VK4GWC). As radio amateurs are licensed in every country in the world qrz.com has every call sign in its database. Usually one goes to qrz.com and enter a call sign. The intention of the ? button is to take one directly to the details. Now I come to the error. Klog calls up URL http://qrz.com/(callsign). That was fine once, but a few years ago qrz.com found that lacking (reasons are given by them at their website). Rather they chose: http://qrz.com/db/(callsign). I insert the db and all is well, but it would be nice to get that fixed. Maybe its already fixed and I need the latest version.. I visited the Klog website but couldn't find a way of communicating with them. I'll have another go but meanwhile any suggestions from members would be appreciated. On the face of it correction would seem to be a simple change, but no doubt there is more work to do than changing a line of code. Don't want to give the impression that ubuntu is only for blokes. :) I would like to help out, but that day I'll be down the road at DrupalSouth. > Do we have any artists that are willing to create posters etc? I still struggle with stick figures, but there is some resources over at spreadubuntu (http://spreadubuntu.neomenlo.org/) which we could probably ripoff^Wuse. linux.conf.au open day
Hello list, I'll be going to linux.conf.au and on the saturday there is an open day. I would like to organise a booth there. I will need people to help man the booth and have things like burnt cd's. Do we have any artists that are willing to create posters etc? Regards, Daniel -- ubuntu-au mailing list ubuntu-au@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-au
