Compulsory Computer protection
Australians could be forced to install anti-virus protection on their computers and have their access to the internet shut down if they did not remove software infections, under a proposed crackdown on cyber crime. http://www.canberratimes.com.au/news/local/news/general/compulsory-computer-protection-mooted/1865797.aspx?storypage=1 Whats you option? tom_a_sparks Light travels faster then sound, which is why some people appear bright, until you hear them speak -- ubuntu-au mailing list ubuntu-au@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-au

Simple just install clamav and then there can be no claim that you don't have an anti-virus component! but in all seriousness if the Government wants to treat us like kindergarten kiddies then we need to think seriously at the next election ... I don't see this bearing fruit, it appears (to me) just to be a simple scare tactic ... George W has to be the best person to have pulled of the fake fear policy along with John Howard... Maybe it's a by-product of the censorship scheme? it by it's very nature cancels out a foreseeable legal loophole of people downloading illegal content and saying it was in fact a Trojan or remote-administration / worm.
