Hi Folks,

When attempting to make 'bizcards' with 'GLabels', I ran into trouble
when printing the cards. I picked a 90mm x 50mm size card in GLabels
2.2.8, run in Lucid Lynx. The result after printing, was a card size of
86mm x 46mm. I tried different card brands and sizes and no matter what
I did, the cards were not the correct size after printing.
Oh yes I managed to get the correct size but I had to use a 'mailing
label' of 96mm x 56mm and trim that down to 94mm x 54mm before printing.
Only then did I get the correct size. So I ask you : is there a bug in
this program ? Can this be rectified ? GLabels 2.3.0 is still in the
development stage, so it cannot be used.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so, can this be rectified ?

many thanks

Hi Tony,

I don't know anything about GLabels, but my gut says that is a problem
with scaling in your printer driver. Make sure that your printer isn't
automatically scaling A4 to US Letter or something like that. You may
have to fiddle around in the print options or poke around in the minor
settings in the CUPS web interface (http://127.0.0.1:631/printers/) to
find it.

Paul
