cd /boot ls You'll get something that looks like this: abi-3.13.0-32-generic lost+found abi-3.13.0-39-generic memtest86+.bin abi-3.13.0-40-generic memtest86+.elf config-3.13.0-32-generic memtest86+_multiboot.bin config-3.13.0-39-generic System.map-3.13.0-32-generic config-3.13.0-40-generic System.map-3.13.0-39-generic grub System.map-3.13.0-40-generic initrd.img-3.13.0-32-generic vmlinuz-3.13.0-32-generic initrd.img-3.13.0-39-generic vmlinuz-3.13.0-39-generic initrd.img-3.13.0-40-generic vmlinuz-3.13.0-40-generic In my example the oldest kernel is: abi-3.13.0-32-generic config-3.13.0-32-generic initrd.img-3.13.0-32-generic vmlinuz-3.13.0-32-generic So then: sudo rm *3.13.0-32* I'd suggest you remove all but the newest 2 kernels. Updating Ubuntu
I have asked this question before but I have lost the answer. On updating the update manager complains that the /bot directory does not have sufficient space. The suggestd command ( sudo apt-get clear) does nothing. How do I clear space in this directory?
