Wireless Information for Australian Networks Devices
Good morning/afternoon/evening Ubuntu-AU'ers There was been some good information coming out of the woodwork with regards to populating the table with some device information (it has even helped me with my upcoming wireless broadband decision). It has been requested that we also put network APN and DNS IP information on this site as well to greatly assist in setting up new broadband network devices and make it a much more complete resource. As a result I have added another table to the page to include this information. If you can all please feel free to fill this in that would help everyone out in a pinch for sure (much easier than searching through ISPs websites for obscure pages they try and hide). Go forth and edit! https://wiki.ubuntu.com/AustralianTeam/WirelessBroadbandCompatibilityList Regards, Jared Norris -- ubuntu-au mailing list ubuntu-au@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-au

In mailing lists and irc chat rooms you do not need to ask permission before asking a question. If you have a question just go ahead and ask it. If someone has the knowledge they will help you out. if you don't get a response in a few days ask somewhere else. Please provide as much detail as possible so we don't have to guess what you are doing. -- ubuntu-au mailing list ubuntu-au@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-au
Re: Information
Hi Peter, Re. Genealogy programs.. 'gramps' seems to be the 'best of breed' $ apt-cache show gramps (snip) escription: Genealogical Research and Analysis Management Program GRAMPS, the Genealogical Research and Analysis Management Programming System, is an Open Source genealogy program written in Python, using the GTK/GNOME interface. GRAMPS has the ability to import GEDCOM files exported from many proprietary genealogy programs and can produce reports in various formats such as the popular AbiWord and OpenOffice.org formats as well as HTML and PDF. Specifically I am trying to set up the wireless connection but when I open Edit Connections and then Edit Wireless Connection 1 the window extends below the bottom of my screen and I have not been able to find a way either to drag it up, or make it smaller so I can use it. I have the same problem when I try to use the Jetstar website. Any suggestions?
