MS Access from Ubuntu
Hello All I wish to run MS Access 2003 from within Ubuntu. I own registered copies of the full MS Office 2003 suite and also XP Pro. What is the best and easiest way to achieve this ? Advice and experience greatly appreciated. Thanks in anticipation David Bowskill -- ubuntu-au mailing list ubuntu-au@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-au
Re: MS Access from Ubuntu
Hi I used to use virtual box to do this, which is ubuntus feeds (run aptitude or synaptic and search for virtualbox). Although now if I was to do this, i'd just use the kvm virtualisation thats 'built' into linux by default. vmware is also a viable option I used to use in the past, and still do on my mac. Let us know how you go or if you need a hand packing this further. Glenn On Thu, 2009-11-12 at 15:34 +1100, David Bowskill wrote: Hello All I wish to run MS Access 2003 from within Ubuntu. Re: MS Access from Ubuntu
virtualbox is easy. KVM is built in BUT will only work if cpu has Virtualization support. ( Intel VT and AMD-V). So i would recommend virtualbox. 2009/11/12 glenn gl...@davy.net.au: Hi I used to use virtual box to do this, which is ubuntus feeds (run aptitude or synaptic and search for virtualbox).
