 Great stuff.
Can we get an article posted on http://www.ubuntu.com.au announcing
the InstallFest, to let prospective attendees know all about it?

 Cheers.

I was going to do a copy/paste from the loco site but it appears Joel
P has beaten me to it and created a calendar event for the day.

2011-12-07 Thread Boden Matthews
Just saying, I might be bringing something VERY special along with me.
Those of you who read the XDA-Developers forums (HP TouchPad section) will
know what I'm talking about. Hopefully it will be finished in time. I have
just finished school for this year, so I have about 4 weeks to get it done.
I will be bringing a laptop along too, to run a mini-class on dual booting
Windows and Ubuntu.

 Awesome!

It has to go to moderation but hopefully won't stay in limbo for too
 long.

Yeah the ABC one needed moderation as well but luckily it only took a
few hours to get through. Thanks for sharing it, lets see where else
 we can post it.

I just started reading through the mailing list regarding the Brisbane
InstallFest. This sounds like a great idea and it's such a shame that I
couldn't be up there in Brisbane to help out. I am on the Gold Coast and
would love to see something similar like this be held on the Gold Coast in
 the future.

Maybe there are others from the Goal Coast wanting to come along as
well? Sounds like a good excuse to carpool if you ask me :) For anyone
else wanting to come in by car but avoid cost of parking in town
carpooling might be a good idea.

And (sorry this information only came through just now),

I just received an email to let me know the event has been
successfully added to the ABC Brisbane Event calendar [0]. If anyone
else can think of anywhere else we can post this to please either let
me know or feel free to add it yourself. The main details are:
* it should link to the loco.u.c event page as the details (I just
copied and pasted the details from there to the about section to
save rewriting it)
* if you don't want to put your own contact details feel free to use
my public email address - jarednor...@ubuntu.com
* let everyone know on the mailing list where it's posted!
